Thanks Ocean Archer

I received a letter about a class action suit to cover this transmission.Evidently when settled they are going to extend the coverage to 125,000 miles.

Are you sure that is your correct VIN? Some numbers dont match what they should be. The 11th digit should be a "Z" and theres no way the 12th one is a "8". That would mean you have the 917123th one built that model year. I dont think they made that many total up until now.

They over heat, and kick out the drive chain/belt. They must be serviced by your nearest SATURN dealer. Taking it to anyone else is just plain stupid as they have no idea what to do to keep the trans alive. The warranty on the trans is 75,000 miles but I do not remember the length of time. Stop by your SATURN dealer as they are there to help you.
