Saturn Vue Options Programming

I have a Saturn Vue 2009 and it has various options that can be programmed into the system like how and when to lock doors, remote start options, When to turn on interior lights, etc. When I program the settings I want only some seem to stay in memory and others not. I have tested each option after I program it and all works fine for a day or so then after that it forgets what I had set. Has anyone experienced this and is there a fix to get it to remember the settings?

If you are positive that
1) the options, when configured, are being committed to memory (usually there is some type of acknowledgment blink or honk and
2) Whatever device is doing the programming has a good battery in it

I would GUESS there may be a bad memory chip somewhere that keeps losing the settings. Does it always default back to the same exact original configuration or is it ending up in a different state each time it forgets your programming requests?

Kind of like my my iPhone 6. LOL

when it loses my settings it goes back to the factory default settings so bad memory chip could be the problem. I was thinking it could be a loose electrical connection someplace that is causing a reset. Like when you disconnect the battery and you have to reset all the radio stations. only strange thing is that only some of the settings are reset not all of them.

That most definitely sounds like a failed something on the receiving end, unless you are inadvertently resetting them by matching whatever sequence of pushes of whatever buttons are required to perform a reset.
I'm not being sarcastic. I once went 3 weeks trying to figure out why my horn would go into alarm (panic) mode every time I passed the same building.

Turned out other keys on a different keyring in the same pocket as the RKE fob were getting jammed into the panic button. Total 100% coincidence. Crazy but true. My point is that sometimes the simplest answer may be the right one.
