Default Removing cowling around shifter

I have a 2005 Vue with a manual gear shift. Does anyone know how I would remove the plastic cowling which covers the bottom manual gear shift area? I dropped a piece down in the bottom area and cannot reach it

Default Top or bottom?

Are you referring to the cowling around the base of the shifter. I have removed the black plastic part around the top where the window controls are but now need to get at the bottom area

Default I figured it out

I figured my question out. There were a couple of screws hidden by the glove compartment door and one other up under the dash. One removed I was able to open one side and get at the area.
Thanks for checking in and offering to help.
