Passenger presence system defeat on 2006, 2007 Vue

I own a 2006 and 2007 Vue (one for daughter, one for me). Both have manual transmissions, Ecotec 2.2. I have analyzed the passenger presence systems on both, as neither vehicle will detect an adult passenger in that front seat. I have swapped 3 different salvage yard systems, and have to conclude that the passenger presence modules are 'dead' (located under passenger seat). The airbag fuses are good. The Tech-2 i have access to states 'unable to communicate with passenger presence system' on both vehicles. I looked into purchasing an Airbag360 bypass module as a solution, but that company lists 'unavailable' on their site for the Saturn Vue (airbag360.com). The dealership provided a phone no. for GM, and a string of text messages resulted in 'see your GM dealer'! I do not want to pay the dealership at least $100 for what i already found out. Does any one know of a used Airbag360 module for the Saturn Vue (or have one to sell)? At this point, i do not think any of the airbags are activated.

If your airbags are disarmed, I would expect to see a solid airbag light on the dash after starting the vehicle.

Silly question. Have you tracked down the fuse responsible for this circuit?

Have you probed the connector one pin at a time for 12 volts?
Is your tech2 a genuine tech2 or a Chinese knockoff? The knockoffs are known to not contain all of the firmware necessary to read all of the modules in the vehicles.

Does Saturn even come up as a choice for the make of the vehicle?

Are you running a firmware version on the tech 2 that post dates 2006?

Food for thought

Yes- fuses checked and are not blown. Airbag light always on. Tech-2 is genuine but may not have very latest update. It recognizes Saturn and even programmed the key FOBs.. I should check for voltage and will do so soon (it is warming up a bit...).
I will repost findings... Thanks for the input

Isn't there some kind of pad or grid in the passenger seat that helps detect if someone is there or not? Why not remove the seat covers and foam and look for the pad with the sensors in it and see if it's torn or ripped. Sounds like something in the seat itself is not functioning properly to me. I don't think that you'd be unlucky enough with 3 replacements to have all of them be defective. IDK, as I'm not a mechanic and don't know diddly squat about a Vue. I've only ever seen one up close and personal and was not impressed. Nothing personal, I just don't see the appeal.

Another silly question.

Now that we know the airbag light is steady on, what is the code that shows up on the tech 2? Does it reference only the passenger detect or are there other airbag codes as well.

Sometimes it is not the device itself but the CAN network that causes communication issues if something is damaged. Do you have any other communication errors?.

Very few other codes. Note 2 Vues- 2006 2007. Now back from holiday vacation and i will check more circuits and post. Some asked why a
Saturn Vue? Answer- plastic side panels and manual transmission! Also, few more modern vehicles interest me at this time... -Bob

"very few other codes"

Then you don't list them.

Too tired to play 20 questions.
I'm out on this one.

Will update as i get time. Busy with work, and second Vue is with daughter at college in another state. Thanks for the help and patience. I was hoping there might be a used Airbag360 emulator out there, as the Saturn Vue emulator does not see to be available any more... -Bob

Do you have a part # for that emulator and where is it located?
