O3 vue need help diagnosing no power to multiple systems

Have an 03 Saturn Vue I was driving last night and the dash lights went out. Upon pulling over to check the fuses I noticed electric power steering was gone in addition to all the gauges at zero, interior lights not working, electric door locks and keyless entry not working, headlights working but fog lights won't turn on, radio working but display lit dimly. Full disclosure. Vehicle has always had a problem with battery draining if actively getting in and out of the vehicle without starting it like yesterday when changing the oil. Few weeks ago noticed red light free Flea Flicker on the dash figured out it was the battery light. Would only do this for the first five or ten minutes of driving if at all. When changing the oil notice a decent amount of oil covering the alternator. Assumed the flight flickering on the dash might be due to oil residue causing the belt to briefly slip.

Charge the battery, jumping it won’t help. If you don’t have a charger remove the battery and get it charged. When you have a known good charged battery drive your car to somewhere they can test the charging system. Like a parts house or repair shop you use. I bet you have a bad alternator and the car has gone into energy conservation mode. The car will shut off circuits not related to running the engine so you can get it safely off the road before it quits entirely.

After you do what Andy suggested, I'd think you need to find where the hell the oil is coming from that coated the alternator and fix that. I'm not familiar with a Vue, so don't know if you may have a leaking valve cover or what. I don't know how they're set up.
