gurgling coming from the gas tank

I have a 2008 Vue XR and I am hearing gurgling coming from the gas tank. It sounds like someone blowing air through a straw into a glass of water. My Vue is also taking a longer time to start. Could this be the fuel pump?

Sound like it is sucking air and you are hearing it when it returns the air to the tank. So I would say a fuel pump cartridge should fix both problems.

I was looking for parts, just for clarification, when you say fuel pump cartridge, are you referring to the fuel pump itself? I can not find a fuel pump "cartridge". I just wanted to double check.... Thanks for your help :)

I looked on Rock Auto and 2008 Vue with any engine uses what I refer to as a cartridge. It comes with the plastic body and hoses and the top with the fuel line connections.
