Take a picture of your engine please. The first picture shows a pcm of some sort that I do not recognise.
Thanks

Don’t you just love one and done. The picture is of the pcm similar to what runs a both the engine and trans in an L200. Does your Vue have a 4t40? Who knows? I don’t. I though the Vues had a 5 speed automatic of some kind.

So the L's had a PCM and BCM but no standalone TCM? I just woke up literally 3 min ago but I I always assumed that once someone went to the trouble of separating out the BCM functionality from a PCM, they'd do the same for the TCM at the same time.

Though I suppose if the computing power was still available in the PCM, it would be more efficient to keep TCM commands inside the same module......

The 2.2 cars have a pcm that controls both, the 3.0 cars have an ecm and a tcm. I think they did that since the 3.0 is an Opel engine from the 90s and the 2.2 is newer technology.
