Cps replaced all 4 now getting all 4 codes. P0016-p0019
Only had 2 cps and 1 crankshaft ps code. Decided to replace all 5 in total and a couple other sensors. My check engine light went away however now I’m getting all 4 codes for the cps sensors. Erased the codes multiple times but the moment I start the vehicle up again they instantly come back. Don’t really wanna take them out to return them because it’s running just fine and the check engine light is gone. But this seems really odd. Thanks in advance for any help.

If they are P codes, your check engine light should be on, unless they are followed by a P for pending which means the vehicle is still evaluating whether or not the malfunction is real.
So I'm assuming you have all four CMP codes pending. Are you sure you used the correct part numbers when ordering / what you ordered is what you actually got in the boxes? What other sensors did you replace? We have no idea. Thank you. |
Maybe it just needs a few drive cycles before it returns to normal?

Rube,
You may be right I may be crazy But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for.... If the codes were already cleared before the repair AND the repair was successful, the codes shouldn't have set, hard code or pending, after the repair. Plus some of the codes present now are new codes. If the codes were not cleared before the repair, then the hard codes would have had to disappear to turn off the check engine light, followed by all four codes setting as pending, some of the codes which were not present before. |
Do we have any idea which VUE he is dealing with? 3.0, Honda or late GM v-6?
|
No idea, Andy. Such information wasn't provided as you can see.

I think the last generation had the 3.5 and 3.6 gm v-6. They might have vct and four cam sensors.

You are correct Re: 2nd gen vue V6 s_
