Blower settings
 

I have a 03 Saturn Vue, and the problem I am having is when you put the blower speed on 4/high it shut off the blower.a/c light and recirculation light on the control pannel. I have heard about the resistor so i got 1 from a scrap yard to try it before I paid the $60 bucks for a new one, sense there is a no return policy on electronic parts. But that didnt fix the issue or I might have gotten hold of a bad one.

The HVAC switch itself is probably not making contact when in the 4/high position. That would explain the loss of the A/C and recirculation light

When you say HVAC switch, what do you mean exactly? I have an 06 Vue 3.5 with AC that only functions intermittently. Blower only works on 2 highest settings and after 10 minutes the AC light goes out and air only comes back on intermittently. I know this must be electrical but I don't know where to look first. Any series of steps to follow?

Derf is more familiar with Vues, I believe your Vue has a module that controls all hvac functions. Heating, ventilation, air conditioning= hvac.
