ABS and traction warning lights going on

I have a 2008 Saturn Vue. The abs and traction warning lights are coming on periodically when the brakes are applied and the brakes feel shaky when this occurs. The brakes and rotors are all new and have been replaced but the problem persists.

What is this attributable to and what do i got to do to get it corrected? i don't know the first thing about cars so not sure if i could replace it unless it was very simple. Can you help pls? My wife and kids use this car and it just seems dangerous.

Go to one of the larger parts stores in your area and get the codes read. That'll give you an idea of what wheel is trowing the signal to turn on the light. Most likely you have a bad speed sensor. You tube should have a video or two on how to replace it.

Believe it or not, I had a similar problem with a Chevy Equinox (POS) that I had and it was a defective EGR valve. I had the codes read at Autozone and it came up as the EGR system. How in the hell it caused problems with the aforementioned system is something I'll never understand. But, I'm not a mechanic. I've just been pulling wrenches on my own cars for over 40 years. I'm not saying that's your problem, I'm just saying don't be surprised by what the codes show.
