2009 Saturn Vue XE 2.4 battery Harness

Does anyone know if the 3.6 and 2.4 use the same battery harness for positive and ground? I am having trouble sourcing them.

I did discover the GM part number for the 2.4L: 20856291 Everything I found said (discontinued). Looking at the 2012-14 Chevy Captiva and that is available for the 2.4L. From what I found, it appears Chevy used the Saturn 08-10 design and called it the Captiva. Lots of parts seem to fit. I have ordered the cables for the Captiva and will report back if they are usable.

Nice sleuthing.
THat should work.

Ok, I received the new cables and they fit so if anyone needs replacement battery cables for their Saturn you can order and use the ones that fit a 2012-14 Chevy Captiva.

They include the current sensor as well.

Thank you for reporting back! You do not know how rare that is.

Turns over but won’t fire

Unfortunately it did not solve my problem of not starting. I have fuel pressure at the fuel rail and I pulled one plug and have spark. I don’t hear the fuel pump kick in but that may be my bad hearing. Going to get some starting fluid and spray it in the intake to see if it fires. This is a 2009 Vue 2.4L basic. I will continue updating as that what forums are all about. Can’t believe how many people seem to drop the ball on here.

If the starting fluid doesn't do the trick, the next thing to do is run a compression test. If you have spark, air and fuel, the only other component missing is compression.

Bad gas and flooded engine

This car has probably been sitting with 3/4 tank of gas for quite a long time as the gas smells funny. I am working on emptying the tank and also replacing the injectors and plugs. I tested the injector plugs and they are being activated. Only way I can see to empty the tank is to let the fuel pump push it out. Any better ideas? Tried to siphon it out but that doesn’t work.

Still not running

Update: I got 5 gals of the old gas out and then added octane booster and 2 gals of fresh gas. Getting it to fire but sporadic. I replaced the crank sensor but still no joy. Ordered cam sensors (2). Hope that fixes it. Wish I had my scan tool. The odb2 decoder shows no codes.
I also replaced the plugs and injectors.
