2006 saturn vue transmission in a 2005?
 

My son bought a 2006 saturn vue, awd, and was in an accident. 😭 Frame/unibody is toast.

We found a 2005 saturn vue, awd that needs a trans. Can we put the trans from the 2006 in the 2005?

Additional question: what year vue's are compatible with most of his parts? Just to get an idea of what years we can look at.

Look at car-part.com, enter what you are looking for and the site lists what fits what years. I looked up your transmission and it is not a direct fit. Since both cars have the same engine I would look deeper to find what the difference in the transmission is. It might be simple like wiring harness changes or impossible like a completely different transmission. You even may need to search on some Honda sites for detailed information.
