2004 Saturn Vue blower motor

Hi. New guy here and NOT a self proclaimed mechanic. I bought my daughter a Vue last year to use at school. She called a month ago and said her blower motor wasn't working for her AC. I went to get the car but by the time I got there, it was working. I drove the car for 2 weeks, never had a problem. It has been fine since. She called today and said it isn't working again. She hasn't driven the car in 5 days. (Riding her new bike Daddy bought her). Called back 10 minutes later and said it is on again. I read the old forums and I couldn't really find any symptoms like this. The fan works on all the speeds. Any suggestions?

OK - Here is the long and the short of it ... The voltage for the blower fan is routed through a resistor pack, which has various stages inside to allow selection of various blower speeds. Since it works sometimes yes and sometimes no, it most likely is a loose connection somewhere between the control switch on the A/C panel, the resistor pack, and the blower motor. Of course, its also possible that the fuse that supplies power to the HVAC system is loose or intermittent. These kind of problems can be really hard to track down, so talk with your friends, and select your A/C technician wisely. Saturn friendly GM dealerships are a good place, but pricey

I would guess a fan switch with bad contacts some where inside, or possibly a faulty blower relay. That is just a guess, but a good place to start.
