Hello! I'm new here, with a 2004 VUE that still runs, but is totally nothing but rust underneath. The 2004 has a 2006 engine and transaxle in it, with a five-speed manual transmission. I just bought a 2003 VUE last Saturday at an auction. Drove it off the lot to go get some gas, and the automatic tranny locked up on me about three miles out! So of course, I had to call AAA and get it towed home. Now, my question is: What degree of difficulty to take the engine and transmission entirely out of the 2004 and switch the whole shebang over into the 2003? The black 2003 is clean as a pin!
