My wife car has an intermitted problem that will not let the motor start. IT will crank but the motor will not start. Motor is a V6. If the car set a bit maybe 5 minute. It will eventually start again. I have checked the fuel pressure one time when it would not start and it was around 50-60 PSI. You can hear the fuel pump running. I service engine light is on so this week end I will check the codes. Has any one else experience a similar problem? I am thinking the crank shaft sense but I want to be certain that is the problem. Sometimes it will go 4-5 days and run fine, other times 1-2 times a day. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Edited by: sw2cam

The problem has never shut the engine down. IT happens only when you try and start the car, Other than that the car appears to run fine

Most likely crank sensor

Replaced CPS last week and car is running great. Thanks
