At slower speeds, around 45mph and lightly pressing on the gas, around 1500 RPM I notice more of a rumbling throaty engine noise. It usually is only detectableat this RPM and I''m guessing at this speed since its not fast enough to be drowned out by road noise. Has anyone else noticed this? Its not super loud but with the radio off and windows up you do notice a different tone along with a touch of vibration, like a rough idle.

I''m new to this engine, so I thought I might just be paranoid!?

Have you checked the air intake pipes to make sure they are all assembled correctly (no loose hardware or clamps) ? Also, look for a crack (or hole) in the intake pipe ...

I have not checked the intake pipe but I will. I kind of see where your going with that. Although there is an actual physical vibration felt with that RPM, very small but when your as paranoid as me you can detect it.

Thanks!
