Default 06 vue with XFE cobalt 3.63 FD swap- works- 2 small issues

Back story is my vue has 100k on it and it runs and drives well. The factory trans had a bad 5th gear synchro but everything else worked. The cruise, speedometer, everything. I did the swap with a 10 cobalt trans. I brought my trans and the cobalt unit to a trans shop and they swapped the internals into my case due to the speed sensor being different. Swapped everything back in and everything works perfect except 2 small issues. I have to note my new 5th gear RPM is 1800 at 65 now and it’s very nice.

so, 2 issues… the cruise control only works in 4th gear. I also noticed that the shift light only works in 3rd to shift to 4th. I can’t have this tuned out with Hptuners or EFI live as they don’t support this computer. Also my speed does work and it’s spot on perfect.

question 1 is does anyone know someone that can hack this computer to change the final drive number? If not does someone have the speed sensor wiring and how it transfers the signal to the ECM/BCM? Maybe just need a signal emulator?

issue 2 is in 2nd gear when come to around 1500 rpm the car starts to buck which makes it annoying to go slow into parking lots and so forth.

any help with diagrams or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Issue number two: manually put it in first or second gear, or low gear, at low speeds to avoid the bucking. If it's only a single low gear then it is probably geared too low aka forget it.

Does your vue have the V6 or the 2.2?

2.2, sorry should have mentioned that.

its really the cruise issue I’m only trying to fix. The bucking is sometimes can live with.

Does the cruise work at 2400 rpm in 5th. The rpm may be too low with high load for the computer. What was the final ratio before? 4.1? My 2.2L200/5 has 4.45 final.

Just ran a scan with the texh2 and I didn’t see anything for trouble codes. I saw a DrL code but that’s because I pulled the relay when I put the new headlights in. Other than that the car is 100% stock.

no doesn’t work at higher RPm. In fact the shift light when it comes on in 3rd is at 2500 rpm and with the stock trans it was coming on at like 1800

When the cruise is functioning, will it continue to function in the gear it is in or will it drop off when the vehicle up shifts or downshifts?

If I push in on the clutch it will disengage. It does accelerate and decelerate with the controls
