window regulator
 

hi everybody, iv got a 98 SL1 with manual windows and the regulators for both drivers side windows have gone bad i took it to a shop to get looked at and priced and all they did is take the rear one out and say that the regulators are bad (i could have told u that with out taking it out, DUUUUH) stuck cardboard in it to keep the window from going down and the front one is stuck about 3 or 4 inches down which is a pain when it rains i got the replacement regulators but i have no idea how to get the inner panel off and anybody that has taken a look at it cant figure it out ether, and i don't have the money to pay that slack shop to replace them even though they said they would do it for free if i had the parts but now want to charge me $200 per window for "labor" to fix it does any one have any tips or advise they can give me, anything helpful will be greatly appreciated. This video should help you. As far as the clip goes for the window handle, you can just take a wash cloth and work it under there and move it around and it will force the clip off. You don't need a special tool.
