Default What size bolt?: universal joint to rack 'pinion

SL2 99 saturn auto transmission: I seem to have lost the bolt that locks the steering shaft to the rack and pinion. More like I stored the bolt I thought was from that hole, but upon reinstall it doesn't fit... What I had was a M8 1.25 pitch 1.0860" long ( from end to end ), but it is too small { thicker hole }... Or did I strip it out??!

If by some chance anyone has info on this bolt... or the hole, please let me know!
Particularly, I'd really like to know if I stripped it out..

Checking out Richpin video... I probably got the right bolt. Or maybe I picked up the wrong one and lost it. In any case, I DID have the right bolt. I'll look around in the morning.

Case closed
The bolt threads are M10 1.5 pitch. I don't know the length.
Somehow I just picked up the wrong bolt while fumbling around under the glow of my flashlight.

Cheers!

Fumblstiltsken you are.
Glad that's sorted out.

Get a worklight on a stand and put that non led mag lite back under the sink for when you need to clean the dust bunnies off the dishwasher recirc pump.
