what does the hose from the valve cover to the intake manifold do? can i block both sides of this off with breathers?

It's part of the PCV system, and yes you can.

i put breathers on both ends and the car was reving at 2500 rpm. so i guess u cant.

No, you cant.


5inchdrop said in his post that its the tube going from the cam cover to the intake MANIFOLD, not the intake TUBE. Removing the tube from the PCV line will cause a massive vacuum leak. The other tube that connects to the intake tube is not under vacuum and can be replaced with a breather.

sorry.............mybad pictured the wrong picture, but now he knows you can't let manafold vacuum go to the atmosphere
