tune up questions
 

I know this has been covered before but just wanted your opinion on want i should buy.What plugs are the best for my car? I have a 94 sohc tbi.Second has any one had issues with seafoaming the intake? Third dose any one sell a intake for tbi?

:)I am sure you will get as many different answers as there are people answering you, so here is mine.
1. There is nothing wrong with the factory recommended spark plug or an equivelent from any reputable company.
My preference is Champion so that is what I buy.
2. Unless the intake or throttle body is cruddy, see no reason why you should seafoam it.
No reason why you shouldn't if that is what floats your boat. Never have on mine, have no particular reason to believe I should.
3. Wrong person to ask. Don't see where there is any benefit. The factory unit supplies fresh air from cold air duct. Warm air when outside temperatue is cold and on cold start. Aftermarket supplies warm under hood air under all conditions and looks cool. Not really sure there is any real benefit from all the time under hood warm air, if I thought there was I'd install one.
If looking cool is what you want, it's your car. You have no idea how much money I have spent for the same reason. Highly personal though!
Although keep in mind one thing. If you have smog requirements in your state the aftermarket unit may not pass smog requirements.
Nasty thing to find out after you have thrown out the old parts.

her in canada noone uses seafoam for anything never seen
that stuff anywhere dont no much about it either but i will
say this you could safely use any carb or even throttle body cleaner
to clean it out. and i like using AC DELCO oem spark plugs in fact
thats what i have in my engine right know

use throttle body cleaner on the intake to avoid stripping off the coating on the inside.
I've been told carb cleaner contains compounds that can damage the above referenced coating.

Yea i have heard that too.

i cleaned my throttle body on the engine yesterday using throttle body cleaner
and an old toothbrush it fixed the slightly low idle it had. and i pick-up
a little more power too. after cleaning it i changed my oil to get the carbon
out of the engine
