ok help me out here the what? i forgot to mention i have replaced the spark plugs and wires and combed over it with a volt meter looking for improper readings and nothing

Engine coolant temperature sensor, two-wire sensor prone to cracking from faulty design usually leaving a rich highidle but sometimes leaving a leaned out condition with some cars actually backfiring into the intake manifold. Constant pedal feathering until the engine fully warms up prevents stalling. Replace it and the two-wire connector if its corroded from anti-freeze. The connector can be from a pc ocnnector, junk yard air intake temperature sensor connector or dealer's $30 part. The replacement coolant sensor is brass, permanent.Edited by: ducky |
