Trans and/or shift linkage??
 

I have a 94 sl2 mtx. Ok, my shifter came very loose and will not find any gear but reverse. The whole shifter is just extremely loose. Im fairly sure its the shift linkage. Can somebody tell me for sure or what you guys think it is? Thank You

the plastic bushing probably snapped. Is it stock linkage? pull your centerpiece out and check your shifter.
Best bet is to go to your local authorized saturn service center and pic up a pair of OEM ones - as the aftermarket seem to have problems.
I know they have them - I got a brand new pair for about $290 from my local chevy stealership (an ASSC) they even had them stocked

Also, go check your linkage clips (that clip the linkage to the transmission and secure it in place)- its possible one of them could have bent, failed or rattled loose. your local whatever GM branded ASSC stealership will have these too, but youll have to order them most likely. if you do need to replace the shift linkage, it might be a good idea to purchase all new clips that hold it to the transmission and shifter.

youll need to take the air hose and battery tray out to get unobstructed view of the top of the tranny and much needed room. These things were a pita to get back on. There should be bolts under the battery and one in the wheel well. If you look down from the throttle body and to the right abit (from the passenger side of the car) you should spot the shift linkage where it connects to the tranny and the clips that hold them in the mounts
