I have a '97 SL1. Will 185/75 R14 tires fit on my car? There are 175/70 R14 on it now.

Thanks for your help.

they will fit on the wheel but your speed o will be way off.

You can use this calculator to find what will work and what won't

it shows a reading of 5mph too slow...ooohhh you wont get busted for speeding.

well it is really only 5.4% which is like 3 mph to slow. which means you would speed up to 60mph and be doing 66mph. BUt the bigger problem would be with the fact that the overall hight is now 1.3" taller then stock. that might cause some rubbing issues.

Most likely not but there will be more side wall flex it would be better to go with a tire that is just a little wider and not a larger aspect ratio.

the tires wont rub...i have a 215/40/17 on my car right now, i have no rubbing, i also have a 2.5" drop.

that is like the same size as stock

only 2/10" larger that is a big difference then 1.3"

Really it is not a good idea to change the height of the tire by that much. The car will handle much different, with or with out rubbing just not a good idea.

they wont rub. just trust me.
