Swapping a DOHC for a SOHC Engine?

Does anyone know if I can swap a 94 DOHC 1.9 engine from an automatic to a 95 SOHC 1.9 with a manual transmission? I know I need to change the PCM and instrument cluster, but I am not sure about the wiring harness which appears to be the same.

should be able to. only other thing to be aware of is that the sohc's have a higher tendency to crack heads where the dohc's don't. the cluster you shouldn't need to swap out just the pcm.

I believe 94 had a vacuum EGR whereas 95 had an electrically actuated, EGR.
Additionally, I believe the DOHC PCM you'll need will be looking for an MP3 transmission and may not like the MP2 it sees from the SOHC...

In short, anything can be done...it's all in the details

was Saturn playing with obd2 in 95 as well? I know obd2 went official in 96 and GM was playing with it in some 94s and 95s (I know at least in the S-10 anyways)

OOPS -- I meant 95 and 96 on the obdI and odbII --- thank you for keeping me honest. Sorry for the slip up -- I modified my post above to reflect reality.
