i got a 95 sl1SOHC and i was in need of some general help......what is needed to complete this swap? i know the head(and everything inside it), intake manifold,throttle body,and valve cover. is there anything else needed for this? are the computers any differant between the two? any sensors needed swapped for this?? im new into this saturn business....so any help would be greatly appriciated. thnx


i know the timing chain is already needed in this swap. do the pistons or crankshaft need changed?? anything with the fuel system?? Edited by: Darcosos

you for sure need the pcm and if its an auto a transmission for dohc if you use sohc pistons on dohc head you lower the compression ratio because the sohc pistons are dished in instead of flat if you''re planning on boost or nos go with the lower compression pistons
