I just finished searching for this, and was shocked to find nothing. My power windows, which sometimes (mostly in warm weather) work perfectly. They have begin to get slower and slower to go up. I finally decided to look into it further when my passengers side started to get slower compared to my driver side.

So, really, just wondering, what the deal is? I''ve seen this on many other cars. Does the motor just need lubrication, or is it already shot, or is it likely not the motor at all??
Again, I''ve seen this on almost everyone of my friends older cars... and am very surprised my search returned nothing.
I''m on a tight budget, I''m quite mechanically competent, if un-experienced. Any help is appreciated

Mike is could be the tracks need to be cleaned and the regulater lubed, but I''m going to say you need to replace the regulator and motor assm

Just so I''m clear, The window regulator is located with every motor correct, Inside the doors?
You''re not talking about the units with the window button are you?

Yes the regulator ... not the switch.
