A little while ago, I noticed a venting of coolant from the overfill container. This happened when I had driven for a while and then had to idle. I noticed that the temp dial did not get above the quarter mark. so no overheating was indicated. I replaced the thermostat. It appears to be doing it again.

Has anyone else encountered this? I am considering doing a flush of the radiator. There is no leak present on the water pump. Any suggestions? Edited by: sw2cam

possibly try and bleed the system of air. There may be air pockets that are causing the bubling and overflow. Also make sure that the system is not overfilled. And i beleive there is more than one sensor but dont quote me on that.

i had the same problem on my car

You need to drain the coolant system (make sure to use a DEX-COOL liquid)

And you need to change the filling cap of the coolant container ( the filling
cap cannot support the pressure anymore so the collant is just venting away)

Replace the cap and do not over fill the bottle.

I agree, replace the cap. Its not air in the system, the system has a deairation line.
