The battery keeps going dead, within a week the a/c went out, raido went out, wipers went out, 2back windows won't roll down.


We had the battery and alternator checked and they both tested ok. Replaced the radio fuse and it didn't help.


Any suggestions on what to check and/or why all of these things went out at the same time?

It almost sounds to me like a grounding problem. I dont know where chassis ground is on your vehicle but when you find it, clean it up with a good wire brushing and see if that helps.

When electrical problems come up the first place to check are the fuses and the connections there. The next place are the two battery cables to check, both ends for corrosion. remove them off the battery and examine them closely especially the RED positive cable under the heavy insulation or battery acid leakng into the cable and slowly ruining it. Check the battery for a broken/cracked teminal post that's wet, a sure sign of battery acid leaking requiring replacement. Side terminal posts aren't as robust as top post terminals. Examine the cables on the other ends for the corrosion and loose connections. The battery should read at least 12.5v, with the engine idling 13.5v, and above idling 14.5v (give or take a few tenths of a volt per measurement). Above idling will verify that the battert is being charged by the alternator and the alternator is operating properly as well as the belt being taut from the belt tensioner. Any reading less than posted indicates possible worn/loose belt tensioner, faulty alternator, poor cable(s)/connections, and a battery that may be on its last legs if its older than 4-yrs.
