I am new to this forum, so if this has been discussed previously, I apologize.

I have a 2000 SL (I believe). Without idiot lights or other warning, the key fob stopped working and it started chiming at 75mph. It chimes at any speed at or above 75mph and won''t stop until I slow down to 70mph. Is there a fuse or other setting I can reset? Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Annoying, but at least this failure mode will help cut down on freeway tickets.


I would replace the keyfob battery and resync the fob to the car.

 

My car randomly chimes at any speed.... and the check engine light is ALWAYS on no matter how much i have serviced it. Sadly, nobody around here has a diagnostic machine for my 94 sl1.
