Ok i have a 98 sl1 and I was wondering what other years and models rims would fit mine. I don''t want the ones that have hub caps or whatever. I want the "alloy" rims. I just think they will look better. And if a bigger size would fit. thanks

NO, what I mean is.

"ALL" s-car wheels fit "ALL" s-cars "ALL" years.

ABS has nothing to do with the fitment of the wheel.

In fact all years of ION 4 lug wheels will fit S-CARS from all years with a minor enlargment to the hub bore. Reason to enlarge hub bore is because of excess paint.

Now I wish I had seen this post before I added mine
about alloy wheels.

sw2cam, how do you enlarge the hub bore on an alloy
wheel? What sort of a tool should I use?

Half Round Rasp

Small cyl hone

80grit sandpaper

just need to clean out a bit


I guess MR. Keith has nothing more to say about wheel fitment in this post, but he will give wrong advice on this subject some place down the line.
