Removing AC pump serpentine belt changes?

First let me say hello and thank you. There appear to be some real experts here.

I have a 96 SL2, DOHC 1.9, RACECAR, that means it has a roll cage for an interior, including a kneebar, the dash is intact just so the VIN can be read because the official rules state these are NOT race cars, they are cars that we race. Meaning 100% stock engines from the MAP to the CAT, 100% stock trannies, shocks, brakes, pump fuel...
Here's the thing,
My son is the driver, started at 14.

Got hit last week, right front cerner, bent things up a bit up there. I need to get rid of the AC pump if I can.

Is there more to this than just getting a different belt, like a replacement bracket?
Will a different route for the belt be needed and the tensioner work?
How would that effect the water pump, power steering pump and alternator that will be staying?

Just remove the compressor and install a belt for the same car without a/c.

Thanks, that is what I was hoping to hear.
I'll let you know how it goes. We're just trying to eek a couple of more HP from it for the last couple of races of the season and maybe for as long time. Our local track is closing forever, the land swallowed up by warehouses that are a better fit with the housing that expanded 10 miles in the last 30 years to finally get close enough to decide a 50 years old race track was to noisey.
He has been getting clobbered by these 2 hondas that just have more in the back straight, you can see the Vtec kick in, even though they are against the rules. (no one wants to kick down the $400 for a tech tear down) He's a better driver I just need to get him some more HP.
I plan to cut the exhaust off at the cat as well and extending a straight pipe out the passenger side. We have not done this yet because he likes being able to hear the other cars coming up on him.

Any other advice, shoot it out, fuel additives are OTC but I've never run more than a yearly injector cleaner as I have heard that they can burn pistons and such. Is it worth it to try some 104 or to risky on the motor.?

104 is just octane boost, it will not make more power. Open up the exhaust that will help some.
