i have a 98 ls2 5 speed with a cold air intake and im plannin on takin it to the track what should i expect to get? and ive seen alot of ppl have bad transmissions on this site should i be worried about my tranny?

I'd be more concerned about the clutch than the transmission unless you miss a gear. Actually, driving at the strip isn't much different than driving on the street anymore. Go for it! Let us know if you break16 secs Edited by: MINICooperS

it also depends on how strong you come out on launch. Too much rpms will cause the clutch to slip badly. I found that out with mine. I've raced a few people and did good. I have a 1998 Saturn SL1 and I have a cold air intake. Another thing I noticed is spark plugs help a lot. I am running Bosch Platinum +2 and I can really feel the difference. Try this out it really helps on top end.

Many a differential pin has shot through the tranny housing.....from reading many a post in many a forum, I believe that people who do serious dragging get the diff pin welded
