Forgiven Dec 14, 2006 02:58 AM

In my 93 Saturn I have Power windows, locks and the works My drivers side seat belt is stuck and not working any longer.... It is however stuck in the normal belted in position and NOT all the way near windshield.

My question: Is it a task to replace that or even fix it? I can live with clicking and unclicking it to get in and out of my car but if it's something simple I wanna learn how to fix it.

Is only the driver's side stuck? Does the motor try to move the latch in the track or is it "dead"?

Does the pass side work properly? If pass side works properly, the controller for the passive restraint system is likely ok; likely a bad motor or a wiring issue.

If neither work, passive restraint control module may be the issue.

Personally, never replaced/repaired one (belt motor)....

The passenger side does work just fine. The Drivers side makes an attempt to work but it gets stuck and just stops.

Thanks Derf for your help
