Power Mirror not working

The driver side mirror was hit and snapped off in a recent cold spell. thus the mirror was replaced. 3 days after replacing the mirror stopped working and the open trunk light goes on when the mirror control is tried. any ideas would be great. thanks

Ok so
the mirror no longer works
or
connection is no longer good
or
the switch has gone bad
the car is to far from me to check it out so I guess you'll need to do that. Then again maybe you should have someone that has an idea how things work do it for you.

are trunk open light and power mirror on the same circuit?

do not know, just find it odd that after putting the new mirror on, it worked and then 3 days later it stopped and whenever you try using the power mirror the trunk open light flashes. I checked the fuses and they where all fine. I think it is some sort of error code but can not find what the code means.since they are linked I would assume they are on the same circuit.

wiring issue? -- maybe chafed insulation which is now shorting on something?

Please post diag code here and we will try to help you diagnose

found the problem. I removed the mirror, and discovered that the wire had slipped under one of the bolts, and the steal of the door which ended up severing the wire (thus the mirror stopped working) the trunk indicator light must have been on the same circuit as that was how the car was responding. So the fuse is located in the passenger side fuse panel and was the left body 10a fuse. when I originally checked the fuses I was not able to check the left or right body fuse you have to pull all of the fuses and the two relays in order to get the fuse puller on the fuse and pull it figures the two I could not get at would be the one that was blown. Thanks for your advice.

You're quite welcome. Glad you are once again fully mirrorized and un-trunk blinked.
