Grommet for what? You need to be very specific or NOBODY can answer your question.

That number doesn't even show up on dormans website. Where'd you get that? Any way you can post a photo of the old one? Amazon shows several different ones for that car.

Default PCV valve grommet

@Spaceboy Did you ever figure out what size PCV valve grommet fit properly❓️
I've searched several local stores with no luck. I tried a few that looked similar but it was a waste of money.
My vehicle is a 2001 Sl1 but I'm assuming it may be the same size as the SL2 even though DOHC cover looks different. Your response is greatly appreciated and would be very helpful.

Spaceboy hasn't been back since that last post of his in 2021. I doubt that he's coming back. Maybe derf knows.

I searched for 90 minutes yesterday trying to find an equivalent for the GM part number. I am yet to be successful. I am also yet to give up. You may ultimately have to make your own from one that sort of fits by trimming it down but that's no big deal

Default No luck 😪

I tried repairing the old one, but it was a fail. I went to every local parts store and tried comparing every single grommet they had on stock. Wasted money because the grommets did not fit. It would not allow the grommet to go all the way in. The end of the grommet sort of has a lip. That is what allows the grommet to stay in place and fit snuggly. All other grommets seem to just pop out. I had use the grommet I attempted to repair, it lasted for some time but it's no longer working. It's allowing oil to seep through on to the cover. I can see it smoking. I've tried searching online Ebay, car parts, GM, Amazon, etc... I contacted Dorman directly.
Their response: "Sorry we do not offer a grommet for the PCV valve on that application."
Ive tried cutting new similar grommets without any success. Ive not given up yet. However, I'm worried, because the original is deteriorating. Imagine having to give up on a car because of a small rubber grommet. I'm lost for ideas.

Yeah...no.

Grommet, C/Case Vent Vlv - GM (21006365)

Used from 91-2002 = all s cars -- but nothing else

Discontinued

No aftermarket parts come up (although undoubtedly something is close enough to fit .

See if this fits based on dimensions and shape
https://sdparts.com/i-19939481-genui...z9ooxeWrJqVxMG

Same part above, but check out the others listed across the bottom -- they have the bottom lip.
Amazon Amazon

You should be able to find one of proper dimensions and shape.
Try the import brand parts counters -- you'd be surprised how may toyota parts fit on these cars

Default GM 14081782 PCV Grommet is working on SL1

@Derf
Thank you for trying. The GM part you listed is the correct part number. It helped with my search although the part is definitely discontinued, and as of this date no one has posted any for sale. I was able to locate a part that was able to fit without any modifications. It's not a perfect fit. It's not as long as the original part, but it looks like it will get the job done! Only time will tell, especially after it endures the heat. I will update if I notice any leaks in the future.

In case this helps someone. I went with a GM 14081782. It is listed as a PCV Grommet for BUICK,CADILLAC,CHEV,OLDS, PONTIAC 1985-86. Sorry it took me a long time to respond. I was waiting for delivery. Cross referencing the part, It seems to correspond to Dorman 42333.
