Not exactly sure on the year but I was looking at it. Its at a car lot and they are being pretty vauge on it. He wants 600 for it and it has a broken timing belt. now my question is are these Interference engines? i.e. If the timing belt were to break while they were doing say 60 would the valves be bent? Thanks

Brandon

EDIT: The motor is the 1.9 DOHC.Edited by: 90base

SATURN 1.9L engines do not have a timing belt but they do have a timing chain. The valves can hit the piston tops either way.Edited by: sw2cam

Well I will have to get another ENGINE for it but I am really considering buying it if I can (TALK) him down alittle bit. Cosmetically its in GREAT shape. Thanks ALOT guys. I have a Geo Storm GSi. Ill have to put the throttle body on it from that. Is it really that much better?Edited by: sw2cam
