not retrieving trouble cods from dlc

Default not retrieving trouble cods from dlc

on my 1999 slt my scanner will not retrieve any trouble codes nor power up my scanner. i have checked all of the fuses on the interior fuse panel and the are all ok.

thank you for any help

I know I'm a foolish fool for asking, but are you COMPLETELY sure you have the right tool for the job?

yep have retieved trouble codes for other people but mine will not retrieve any information

OK - I guess you need to look at the underhood junction block ..... there are a couple of fuses out there that go to the PCM (and also the diagnostic port)

i was told by a good source to look for a loose ground wire near the computer or dlc

the body fuse is ok and i will spray some elecrical connector cleaner on the dlc and see if that works

i changed body fuse and checked the battery pin on the dlc and no power to the pin.
