no start

Hi people, new Saturn owner here. I bought my buddy's 99 Saturn sl with the 1.9 Dohc. I have an issue that's got a time limit to fix.

We had to swap batteries from my GA to get it out to my house. It started great with a boost we let it run for about half an hour while I drove him home. Got back I moved the car in my driveway, turned it off. Went to start it up that night and I got no cranks. There is power, I have. Dash, head, interior lights, hvac controls work, radio works. But no cranking. I "urn the key and it feels like a subtle single click. It seems to be the starter but I wanna make for sure it is before I go spend the money I don't have on it tomorrow. Thanks for any input

are there any service lights on the dash?Does it turn over but wont crank? Is it clicking at all? I think it prolly is your starter.Try jumping the selenoid terminals with a screwdriver.Or try tapping the starter with a hammer.Make sure all your fuses under the hood are good. And let us know how it works out.

Like most any car ever built, start with.

Battery
Battery cables
Starter
Clutch, or neutral safety switch

All we can do for you is guess if you can't evan check those items on your own. You can search how to check each of these items on-line by using your search engine.

First put the correct battery in the car. Next check the cables and connections as mentioned above.
Sounds like a bad battery to me but hell it's a grand am battery so who knows

I gotta agree -- the battery is the question mark in this scenario ...

Battery is good, its only a few months old. I picked up a new starter. Gonna put it in today

if the battery is good then why did you need to jump it to get it started (per original post)

Confused
