No night time dash lights. Saturn SL-1 2001

No night time dash lights. Everything else works. Is there a guide where to start?
Turn signals, and emergency flasher dash lights work.
Could use a wiring guide on that part. All fuses under the hood look good, and non are labeled as dash lights. Could not find fuses inside the dash. What am I missing? Where do I look for a Dash light fuse? The dimmer control Box?
Does the dimmer control, control all the night time dash lights? Is there a way to test it before throwing money at a new one?

Thanks in advance. 290,xxx miles on this beast and sill running.I do all my own servicing, experienced with mechanics and wiring, 51 years now. Just need some hints where to start...on this issue.

Your Body Control Module controls the instrument panel lights. The dash dimmer switch tells the BCM what you desire. The dash dimmer is a weak point on the L series cars. I suspect that the gen 3 S car uses a similar switch. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sat...9cdeee0344.png

Here is the narrative about how the BCM controls display dimming.
