Got it aligned...it was so far off it wouldn't register on the machine, so the guy had to eyeball it to get it in the ballpark then go from there. My guy said everything was tight and looked good, though! Drives much better...

Glad to hear you got it straightened out. It's amazing what a good front end mechanic can do, isn't it?

I bought a new upper engine mount from the recommended supplier on this site but when I went to put the mount on the studs are too short. The studs that were on the engine side look like regular exhaust manifold studs, is that right? Can I get something at the local posts store that will work? Also, the mount didn't sit all the way down on the engine pad, theres probably a good 1"our so gap...but the old one was in pieces so I don't have anything to compare it to?

did you support the engine from below?

Where did you get the mount and studs

I always go dealer on these

Ya, mount was from gm...i just want holding my mouth right...it's on and fits good.

But, now ive got a loud rattle in drive with a/c on...won't do it in drive with a/c off or in park with a/c ...only when the idle drops way down. It sounds up high, around valve cover...

I noticed when i replace my top mount it required abit of forceful finess to get it in place.
Maybe something wrong with the a/c clutch or a loose bracket somewhere? or maybe the new mount is transferring alittle more vibration than the shot one was - and your hearing something you didnt hear before?

I should have started it was doing it before I replaced the mount, but I had hoped a new mount would fix it...i did notice the dog bone had done slop in it.
