hello and thank you for takin the time to help. I have a 95 SL2. On the highway the other day some *** in an SUV on a cell almost ran me in to a guard rail. i locked teh brakes up w/o pushin in the clutch. Now in ALL gears it feels like im on 3 cyl. No power(not that it had much to begin with)and the car chatters when i try to move. i havent done anything yet. I have a truck to drive. Im thinkin simple at first(plugs, wires, possibly coil or ignition pack)but im afraid i might have done something to the timing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Id like to get a little ed. on these cars before i pick up a scalpel. Just a little about me,Im no mechanic, but i have worked on my truck for the last 7 years cause i got screwed at a garage and he cost me 700 more to fix it myself. Im not afraid to do anything mechanicly. thanks for your time and if i can help on any ranger or mazda ?'s im your man(yes i realize this is a Saturn forum) thank you Sal

Is the SES light on? You can go by a auto parts store and they will read your failure code for free. Or you can use a paper clip to jump the terminals on the PCM port and read your own flash codes.

After you stopped, did the car stall out?
