My 01 sl2 won't start. Please help.

I got stuck at work last night when my saturn wouldn't start. I thought it was the battery but the jump pack didn't do anything. Then i realized I wasn't getting any power at all. No lights, nothing. The car wasn't turning over at all. What might be the problem?

Defective positive battery cable -- replace it
