My "service engine soon" light is on and the parts store scanned it and said it was a MAP sensor code. I have the Haynes DIY manual but it doesn't give any information on where this sensor is located and how to R/R it. Any help?

 

I assume it is in the same place as on the older DOHC models -- at the top of the far end of the throttle body.

Make sure you don't lose the little plastic sleeve that is around the sensor port when you pull it -- you'll need to reuse it,

 

Turns out it is in a different place - it is under the Throttle Position sensor on the intake manifold just beneath the throttle body (left side of car). I replaced it (it snaps out and in) and disconnected the battery for a few minutes. The light didn't go out, so this morning when I got the oil changed, I had them read the codes again and reset them with their scanner. So far the light hasn't come on again, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Looks like the old MAP sensor was indeed bad - the light has never come back on again.
