idil code 49 or idle code 49
 

1994 sl runs fine but just once in a blue moon when you come up to stop the car well idil up to ab 1100+ and come down then check engine light well come on.code 49 but have check for vacuum leak and only place it seems to idil up at is a black housing on back of carb with 3 lines going to it.what is that?and if that was bad should it do it all the time?:mad:(light goes out after you turn car off and start back up)

1.have put new temp sensor in and connecter

2.new muffler

?could converter be clogged up b/c some times i smell a egg smell

Code 49 does suggest a vacuum leak. May be a crack in the plastic housing

why would it only do it some times? whats the name of the housing?

how do i check converter?should i check it i only smell that egg sometimes.

your car has no carb so I have no idea what you're talking about
