How to remove window regulator on SL2?

99 SL2 front window regulator. How do i remove it? I see the torx bolts. Once i remove the torx bolts what is the next step? Will the regulator wiggle out of the door frame thru the lower rear hole?

Hey man, I think you need to do a search on that. Someone here posted a video on how to remove the door panel and you actually have to remove the outer door skin. The video makes it look fairly easy. Once my son decides to buy some new speakers for the front doors on his, I'll undertake that project. Most likely that's how you'll have to get to the window regulator too.

Thanks, but i got it. My problem was the crank was broke and i couldnt get the window to go down and the regulator was fully extended. It was a pain, but i managed to get it off the window and out the door. If the window had been down or even partial down it would have gone 100x easier. The new regulator was already in the down/compressed position and it went in in a snap.

Anybody who needs to do this in the future, try to get the window at least half way down before hand. Once you get the window seperated from the regulator(which is very easy with the window down) just slide the window back up and hold it into place with a few pieces of cardboard wedged between it and the door. Once the window is out of the way the regulator will come out no problem, that is if you already have it partially compressed.

thanks for taking the time to post the resolution, as 90% of the people post for advice, get it, then vanish into cyberspace
