High pressure on AC low pressure line

2000 SL2; getting no cold air from AC, but interior blower OK. Thought the compresser was OK so got a can to recharge. Upon hooking up to the low side (per instructions, with AC on full) the pressure indicates at 100 psi. Would a bad compressor give this indication?
TIA

So are you in
Lower, Central/Middle, or Upper Franconia and how did a Saturn end up in that area?

Either a bad compressor, or a massively overcharged system. Any idea at all as to the high side pressure?

Not this Franconia

But in the good ol' USA - near Alexandria VA

Plenty of Saturns here!

No, I could check at the auto part store for a tool to test ... but I suspect it is the compressor. If I recall correctly, it was serviced early last year and ran fine - so I don't know where an overcharging would have taken place (I did not have the bottle on it long enough to do it).
