Hello all,

New here and need some help please. The electronic control module

under the center console of my 1993 SL controls what? My battery

ran down and it started clicking. I couldn't stop it. When I took it out

the upper housingwas cracked up some. What exactly is this part

and can I get it without going to the dealer? It had three connectors

attached to the front and came out with the push of a tab on the

back end.

Thanks for any help,

Bret Moore

The computer ( brains) to making operational adjustments to the motor based on information sent to it from sensors located around and inside the motor itself. A salvage yard may be able to replace that part/ or a dealer.

????
I think he's talking about the Passive Restraint Control Module. Do your automatic seatbelts still function??

Hello again,

Thanks for the input so far. The restraints worked until the

car wouldn't start the other day. The battery was dead.

It sat for a few days and I noticed the loud clicking sound

coming from under the center consule. It would not stop for

anything. I took the consule up and took out the module that

was clicking. All other electrical seemed to work prior to this.
