wondering if anyone could help i recently unplugged my battery.wich resset my ecu .now i cant get my car inspected.i have drove now over 200 miles and the ecu is still saying not ready for evap-egr-02-catalist.any help would be greatly appreciated. by the way its a 99sl2 .thnaks Edited by: jameswemm

everything is know ready except evap ,egr,and catalyst.any suggestions?

I'm wondering if its related to the coolant sensor and/or thermostatnot allowing the engine to warm up and leave the 'open loop' mode to enter 'closed loop' mode where the O2 sensor governs engine operations for emissions control. Open loop mode is occuring while the engine is cold and idling high until the engine is completely warmed up where closed loop mode is activated. The original coolant sensor is resin tipped and prone to cracking leading to erratic engine running and the cure is to replace it with the brass sensor along with the two-wire connector if its corroded.

You need to preform the OBDII driving cycle becauce the battery was disconnected. We have instructions here:
