ok so here''s my biggest thing. My saturn a 98 sl1 has a dohc fuel injection system from the early 90s and that system added 20 hp. so in turn i should still be able to do performance mods the same as dohc and get a relatively good gain in horsepower.

whats your question? Whether or not you can get good hp gains from other mods? I will say in general that trying to get HP out of a 4 cylinder Naturally aspirated is like trying to get orange juice from oranges. You need to buy a bunch and in the end you still dont get much juice from it... [img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]

lol a very good point but Eventually its going to have a turbo in it.

my question is what is the big dif between dohc and sohc? not including the two cams and 16 valves.

the major difference is stock horsepower the sl1 produces 100hp and the sl2 produces 124hp the reason being that on a sohc engine only 1 cam distributes the flow of intake air as well as exhaust while on a dohc engine 1 cam is for intake air and the other is for exhaust which in turn produces more power
